Moose find a way

The Beaver Moose found a way to win on Wednesday night in their opener against the formidable Weltmeisters. Travis Hafner hit a game-tying RBI triple in the 9th, then stole home on a double steal for the go-ahead run. Glendon Rusch and Kiko Calero closed out the Meister hitters in the bottom half of the inning to preserve the win for Beaver.

Dogzz Happy to be in The Juice Box

The Dogzz win both games with the double header opener in Minute Maid. The Dogz combined for 11 runs, 21 hits, with 3 homeruns in the double header outting on their new field. The Slappers pitched hard in the first game Perez the x-Dog allowed only 4 hits in 6 and a third innings. But the Dogzz continued to grind out against the Slapper Bullpen. Both teams knew it would come down to one run when after 9 it ended in a tie. The Dogz just slipped one through in the 10th for the W. The second game started out with one deep and into the cheap seats with Quinlan going yard lead off against Santana. Santana continue to struggle through 4 and a third innings before Slappers pitching coach pulled the plug. Dogzz finished out to win 6-1 against a struggling bull pen. Will the Slappers pull out a win in the Juice Box? Stay tuned to find out. This would put the series even at 3 a piece. Good Luck to both teams.

Slappers Win First Summer Outing

The Slappers and Dogzz met at Pac Bell park last night. The season began on July 1st in this, the 4th PTP season. The warm air seemed to have had a huge offensive effect as the teams combined for 19 runs on 28 hits. There were also 5 HR’s. The Slappers had 3 3-run HR’s. Quinlan and Pujols had 4 hits each for the Dogs. The story of the night was Wily Mo Pena, who last year impressed the Slapper’s manager by hitting 4 HR’s in 23 AB’s. He earned a spot in the lineup and came through with a 3-run blast. Santana was roughed up…again…giving up 7 hits and 4 runs in 4.1 innings. Harden came in for relief and got the win. Doggz scored 4 in the 9th, but Takatsu was able to hold on and get the save.

Curb Dogs hit .390 in the game.
